Iranian cryptocurrency exchange Nobitex has disclosed a $48.65 million security breach stemming from unauthorized access to its hot wallet infrastructure. The platform immediately disabled compromised systems and initiated forensic analysis.
User funds will be fully reimbursed through the exchange's insurance reserves, with cold storage holdings remaining unaffected. Pro-Israel hacker collective Gonjeshke Darande has claimed responsibility for the attack, marking another escalation in cyber warfare targeting financial infrastructure.
